Asia Cement invests in new Hubei plant

The Asia Cement Co., the second largest cement producer in Taiwan, has invested US$200m in its second plant in Wuhan Yangluo Economic Technical Development Zone, named Hubei Yadong Cement Co.   The new plant covers 69.4 hectares and is designed to have an annual cement production capacity of four million tons. The first phase of the project is scheduled for completion in two years.  

Asia Cement (China) Holding Co., signed an MOU with the Wuhan government on a new plant in the Wuhan Wangjiadun Central Commercial Zone at a cost of US$200 million.   The first factory of Asia Cement, named Wuhan Yadong Cement Co., was launched in 1999. It generated a business revenue approaching 400 million yuan. The board of the Asia Cement passed a group of bills for investment in the mainland.   Asia Cement is a subsidiary of Far Eastern Group, which is one of Taiwan’s top five private enterprises.
