Taiwan’s second largest cement producer Asia Cement Corporation will build in a second cement plant in Wuhan Mainland China named Hubei Yadong Cement Plant, with less than 1.6 billion yuan of investment.  The new plant will be constructed in two phases, with 3Mta of projected production capacity. The first phase will be completed in October 2006.  Wuhan Yadong Cement Plant, the first factory that Asia Cement Corporation set up in Wuhan, produced 1.5Mt of cement in 2004, accounting for 20 per cent of local market share. Wuhan Yadong posted 440 million yuan in sales last year.  Published under Cement News
