FLSmidth Gets EUR91m contract In Vietnam

Danish engineering company FLSmidth A/S Tuesday said it has received two orders worth from Ha Long Cement Joint Stock Company of Vietnam for the construction of a greenfield cement plant and for a grinding plant.  The cement plant construction order is worth EUR91m, and the grinding plant order is valued at around EUR22m.  

The company said the cement plant is to be situated in the province of Quang Minh near Ha Long. It is scheduled to be handed over in the beginning of 2008. The grinding plant is to be situated next to Ho Chi Min City and is scheduled to come on stream in the summer of 2007.  

For the cement plant FLSmidth has to supply a FRM-Mill 52/400, a three support kiln SLC-D, a SF Cross bar Cooler, complete storage facilities and complete process control. The order also requires MAAG Gear to provide mill gears, Pfister to provide dosing control and Ventomatic to supply three complete packing lines.  

FLSmidth’s scope of supply for the grinding plant ranges from a UMS mill 54x15.5 and complete storage and transport facilities to complete ship loading and unloading equipment. Ventomatic will also provide three packing lines for this order.   The scope of both contracts includes supervision of erection, commissioning, spare parts, civil engineering and training.
