Cement price increases, Pakistan

An increase of Rs20 to Rs25 per bag in the price cement was recorded in the country making the total price of the bag Rs305 from Rs290. According to Federal Bureau of Statistics, an increase of Rs20 to Rs25 per bag pf cement was recorded in different parts of the country while average inflation in the country remained 4.56 per cent. When contacted some cement companies told that factories increased Rs5 to Rs10 per bag of cement while Chairman All Pakistan Cement Manufacturers Association said some cements plants were under repair an recent increase in cement price was due to decrease of supply.
