China’s cement production plant in Hamedan

Preliminary agreement on the construction of a cement production plant in Iran’s western city of Hamedan was signed between the mayor of the city and the representative of the Chinese company CNEEC.

Given the abundance of raw materials in the vicinity, there exist good conditions for implementation of numerous projects in the region, noted Hamedan Governor General Zabardast, Iranian Students News Agency (ISNA) reported.

He also said other projects in the region including steel production plant will be developed by the Chinese companies adding that, “We hope that we will have good cooperation with the Chinese companies in railroad construction in the region, particularly, in Tehran- Hamedan- Sanandaj railroad project. The negotiations on these contracts are currently underway.”

The Hamedan Cement production plant, capable of producing 3000t of cement, encompasses about 20 hectares of land and will be located in Ravan Kabudar Ahang region. The required raw materials and mines are abundant for the necessary function of the factor, Hamedan mayor commented on the forthcoming project.
