Electra order from Lafarge Canada

Electra order from Lafarge Canada
25 May 2005

Electra Gold Ltd. has received a purchase order from Lafarge Canada Inc. for 2200t of chalky geyserite for its cement plant located in Richmond, BC.  The chalky geyserite must be delivered to Port Hardy FOB on barge. Lafarge is responsible for barging the material from Port Hardy to the Richmond Cement Plant. The estimated date for delivery is May 28, 2005.

This purchase order is very good news for Electra and the Richmond, BC operation is the largest primary cement making operation in the Pacific Northwest. This is the first order from Lafarge and represents the third large customer for our material located at the Apple Bay Operation. Electra Gold Ltd. has delivered several barge loads to Lehigh Northwest Cement and has a long term contact to deliver chalky geyserite to Ash Grove Cement Company in Seattle, Washington.

Electra, are working toward developing more long term contracts for the sale of Chalky geyserite and geyserite (which presumably is used as a silicaceous correction material. Next week Jo Shearer, President of Electra, will meet with another potential customer interested in buying substantial amounts of geyserite. This enquiry is at an early stage, but is very encouraging as market momentum is building.
