7.8Mt of cement produced in 1Q05, Russia

Output of cement in Russia stood at 7.8Mt in January-March 2005, up three per cent from the figure posted in the same period 2004. Eurocement produced about 1.9Mt of cement in the first quarter of 2005, in line with 2004.

In 2004 the holding made more than 9.6Mt of cement, an increase of 13% from the figure reported in the same period 2003, the company’s press service said.
