China group to build world’s biggest clinker factory

The China Anhui CONCH Group plans to invest three billion yuan ($US362
million) in building three production lines, each with a daily capacity of 10,000 tons of cement clinker in Chizhou, according to a letter of intent signed by the two parties.

The project, to be undertaken in three phases, will raise the total production capacity of Chizhou CONCH to 15Mta.

The factory, which has two production lines, each with a daily capacity of 5,000t, and one production line with a daily capacity of 8,000t at present, will become the world’s largest single cement producer and clinker-supply base of the Group.

The project also includes a 45,000 kW pure low temperature, residue heat power generator and an 11Mt special purpose wharf.
