The company expects to receive part of the sum, about LTL5m (EUR1.5m), from the Structural Funds of the European Union. "If we receive the support, we could start the project in late autumn and complete it in 12 months," Arturas Zaremba, the CEO of Akmenes Cementas, told local press. The manufacturer intends to modernise the filters in its furnaces and build a facility to utilise production waste.
