The first stage of the plant of Colombian cement manufacturer Concrecem, owned by Cementos Andino, started the production and trading of what is hoped will be 600,000t of the product per year. The plant located in the region of Sabanagrande (Atlantico Department) supplies both the domestic and the international market, and received investments of US$90m. According to the management, the plant will reach its total installed capacity within a period of two weeks. Concrecem’s products may soon reach the US market.
