The Government has offered incentives such as soft credits for projects specialising in clinker production in remote mountainous communities. The offers were recently announced by the Government Office based on Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung’s recommendations for the readjustment of the cement industry’s development strategy for the period up to 2010 and orientation for 2020.

The Government Office also requested the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment to simplify procedures on licensing mining projects for the service of cement production. The Ministry of Construction was instructed to cooperate with the Ministry of Transport and Communications in finalising a plan for effective cement transportation.
