Gebr  Pfeiffer AG and its indian subsidiary Gebr Pfeiffer (india) have received an order for a coal grinding plant have now been ordered by The Tata Iron and Steel Co located at Jamshedpur / India. The MPS 200 BK vertical roller mill, rated for a finished product capacity of 24tph, will be used for producing pulverised coal for injection into one of the blast-furnaces. The mill will form the core of the grinding plant. The high precision cut will be carried out by an SLS-BK high-efficiency classifier of the latest generation, integrated in the MPS vertical roller mill.

 Gebr Pfeiffer AG has also obtained an order for the supply of a cement separating plant for modernising and upgrading the cement grinding plant at the Indian Kodinar works. The new high-efficiency classifier, type SLV 2650, will replace an existing classifier in a closed grinding circuit with a ball mill and an upstream roller press. The modification will increase the plant’s guaranteed throughput rate from 145tph to 175tph of Portland cement ground to a specific surface area of 3200cm2/ g according to Blaine. The commissioning is scheduled for spring 2005.
