Cimpor aims to invest EUR100m  in South Africa

Cimpor aims to invest nearly EUR100m in its South African factory by 2007, director Luis Sequeira Martins has said.  Cimpor wants to boost its production capacity at its factory in Natal eastern South Africa to 1.7Mta from the current 1Mt, Martins said was reported as saying by local news sources.

The Portuguese cement maker also plans to increase its production capacity in Egypt, Morocco and Tunisia, the report said.  Cimpor wants to boost its overall production capacity to 30Mt a year by 2008 from 23Mt currently, it added.
