US cement company Suwannee American Cement, a subsidiary of Brazil’s Votorantim conglomerate, expects to report sales volumes of 680,000t in 2004, exceeding by 70% initial estimates of 400,000t, the company reported on its website.  "We had only expected to reach this figure in 2005," Suwanee American Cement president and executive director at Votorantim Cimentos trading Claude Grinfeder was quoted as saying. Votorantim Cimentos is Votorantim’s cement division.  In 2003, Suwanee American Cement, with a 14% market share, reported sales revenues of US$20mn. Published under Cement News
