China’s cement output growth slows

The increase rate of China’s cement output in the first seven months of this year continued to fall.
Statistics show the output came to 502.62Mt, up 17 per cent year-on-year. Included was the monthly output of 77.62Mt in July, up 10.4 per cent over the year-earlier period but lower than any month of this year.

China sold 492.21Mt of cement in the first seven months of this year. Its inventory by the end of July was 42.3Mt, and its sales/production ratio was 97.93 per cent, up 0.23 percentage points.

The national cement ex-factory price was Yuan229.73/t (US$27.75) in July, Yuan2.46/t lower than June and Yuan13.32/t higher than the year-earlier period.
