YTL Cement Bhd said it may buy more shares in Perak-Hanjoong Simen Sdn Bhd from existing shareholders if they offer to sell their shares.  YTL Cement currently holds a 32% stake in Perak-Hanjoong. Other existing shareholders are Magnitude Network Sdn Bhd, which owns 11.92%, Proselesa Sdn Bhd 11.89%, Apexicon Sdn Bhd 8.93% and Gopeng Bhd 35.16%.  “Should the above remaining shareholders of Perak-Hanjoong offer to dispose of their interests in Perak-Hanjoong, the company may consider and evaluate the offer according to our investment criteria,” it said in response to a query from Bursa Malaysia on Tuesday. “In the event there is any development in the acquisition of the remaining equity interests in Perak-Hanjoong, an appropriate announcement will be made by the company,” it added. – AFX-Asia Published under Cement News
