Hungarian construction holding Strabag may open a Ft27bn (US$131m) cement plant with a capacity of 1Mt, by 2008. A final decision on whether the project will go ahead will be taken only after polling residents of Bukkosd village, located 2 km from the planned site, who have expressed reservations about Strabag’s plans.
