The Concrete Products and Aggregate Co (CPAC), a ready mixed concrete producing unit of Cementhai Company, said its total sales¹ revenue this year is expected to reach 10 billion baht.  CPAC¹s managing director Annop Tegajarin said his firm expects to sell 9.3 million cubic metres of ready mixed concrete, a 22 percent rise from 7.6 million cubic metres of ready mixed concrete sold last year. CPAC¹s sales¹ revenue last year totalled eight billion baht, said Annop. He said local demand for ready mix concrete this year is expected to grow by 30 percent from last year.

The overall Thai market sales of ready mix concrete last year totalled 21 million cubic metres, said Annop. He expects the local demand for ready mix concrete this year to soar further as a result of the government¹s efforts to spur economic growth amidst a booming property sector of the country.  CPAC also plans to spend 70 million baht on the purchase of 100 cement mixer trucks and another 40 million baht for the upgrade of the firm¹s information technology system to enable it to boost operating efficiency, said Annop.

CPAC expects the local demand for ready mixed cement in small-scale construction projects or the ones using less than 1000 million cubic meters of ready mix concrete to be on the rise this year, said Annop. Regarding the use of cement products in the country, manually mixed cement concrete and concrete made by small cement mixers makes up 35 percent of the market share. The ready mix concrete accounts for a 23 percent market share..
