Cementos Lemona net attributable profit down 41 per cent

Spanish cement producer Cementos Lemona posted a net attributable profit of EUR2.2m in the first quarter of 2004, a 41 per cent YoY decrease, the company reported to Spain’s stock market regulator CNMV

The turnover decreased 9.4 per cent to EUR19.4m (US$22.9m). Cement sales totalled 157,498t, down 14.2 per cent. The decrease was mainly due to the unfavourable weather conditions, which delayed the construction works at production capacities of Cementos Lemona, the company said.
