India: Durgapur Cement has embarked on an expansion programme to set up a new unit, Durga High Tech.  Durgapur Cement president Debasis Ghosh said yesterday at the inauguration of the new unit announcement, said when completed,  the company would be able to produce 1Mt of pozzolona cement per year from its existing 0.6Mt capacity works. The unit would for the first time manufacture cement from fly ash in the state using power from the joint captive power plant, NSPCL, of Durgapur Steel Plant and the NTPC. Published under Cement News
