FCB-Ciment

FCB-Ciment (France), the subsidiary fully devoted to Cement Industry of the FIVES LILLE Group, has signed in January 2004 a contract with Lafarge Cementos SA de CV, the Mexican subsidiary of Lafarge, for the implementation  of a greenfield Cement Plant in TULA (State of HIDALGO) about 70 km north of Mexico City.

The new Production Unit, with an initial capacity fixed to 0.6 MT of cement per year, includes the latest technologies and is expected to be put into operation in mid-2006.

This major contract is in continuity with the recent and present activities of FCB-Ciment in Central America, including the implementation of a complete cement production line in Costa Rica, a cement grinding plant in Honduras and ten Horomills® for raw and cement grinding in Mexico.
