In January 2004, the Eurocement holding company produced more than 320,000t of cement, a 18 per cent year-on-year rise.  Packed cement production increased by 25 per cent year-on-year. Eurocement plans to turn out about 8Mt of cement this year.  Eurocement, Russia’s biggest cement holding company, controls 20 per cent of the Russian and 60 per cent of the Moscow cement market. In 2002, the company made over 7Mt of cement.
