Cement sales in Bolivia increased 11.9 per cent to 1.11Mt in 2003, compared to the year before, the country’s cement and concrete institute (IBCH) reported. Company Fancesa led sales with 294,916t, followed by Soboce Viacha (270,327t), Coboce (212,302t), Soboce Emisa (94,936t), Soboce Warnes (88,359t), Itacamba (74,959t) and Soboce El Puente (73,407t). Sales were mostly concentrated in the departments of Santa Cruz (306,859t), La Paz (284,340t) and Cochabamba (230,144t). Regarding production, this increased 12.6 per cent to 1.14Mt last year compared to 2002, led by Fancesa (300,516t), Soboce Viacha (298,438t) and Coboce (224,079t). Published under Cement News
