The President of Dangote Industries, Alhaji Aliko Dangote, has said that no staff of the Benue Cement Company (BCC), Gboko, would lose his job, following the take over of BCC by DIL.  Speaking in Makurdi, during a courtesy call on Gov. George Akume of Benue, Dangote said all the staff, particularly the skilful ones, would be retained in areas, where their services were needed when the firm resumed production..  He said those, who could not secure placements at BCC would be deployed to the new cement company being constructed by DIL in Kogi.

Dangote also promised to take firm steps to check pollution of the environment by BCC, adding that the issue that would receive top priority attention was the control of dust emission from the factory.  He said when the firm resumed production, the production facilities would be expanded to make it the largest cement producing company in the country.
