Turkish cement and clinker factory Bursa Cimento targets a 5.0 per cent growth in 2004, the director general Burhan Evcil said on January 13, 2004.  The company produces 1.8Mt of cement annually. It holds a 12.5 per cent market share in the Turkish northwestern region of Marmara and a 3.5 per cent market share in entire Turkish market.  Bursa Cimento is Turkey's 10th largest cement producer in terms of production, Evcil said adding that there were 39 integrated cement factories in the country.  Bursa Cimento has capacity of 2.9Mta of cement and 1.35Mta of clinker a year.  The company reported gross sales of 54.2 trln Turkish lira (US$40.6m) for the first nine months of 2003, compared to US$41.9m) for the same period of 2002.  Bursa Cimento said in late September 2003 it targeted a turnover of 90 trln lira (US$67.4m) for 2003. The company also exports mainly to Italy, Spain, Portugal and Algeria.
