Cemex recognised for export efforts, Dominican Republic

Cemex has been recognised as a “Great Exporter” by the Dominican Association of Exporters for consistent growth that has led the company to be the biggest exporter of cement in the Caribbean.

Carlos Gonzalez, President of Cemex in the Dominican Republic, was on hand to receive the award and attribute this achievement to three factors: a positive business climate in the country, the company’s continuous focus on quality and innovation, and the hard work of over 650 employees at Cemex in the Dominican Republic.

“This recognition validates Cemex’s focus on sustainable development, which centers on managing our footprint, enhancing our value creation, and engaging our stakeholders,” says Gonzalez. “We are convinced that by being a socially responsible company we can achieve sustainable growth and continue helping the development of the country”.
