Cement production in Bolivia increased by 10 per cent YoY in 2011, according to figures from the Bolivian Foreign Trade Institute (IBCE), based on data provided by the Bolivian Institute of Cement and Concrete (IBCH). SOBOCE Viacha achieved the highest percentage growth in FY 2011, with 15 per cent, with an increased production of 775,883t of cement,

In 2011, total domestic cement sales increased eight per cent compared to 2010.??The department of Santa Cruz accounted for 30 per cent of cement sales in the country, followed by La Paz with 25 per cent and Cochabamba with 19 percent share.

According to the National Statistics Institute (INE), 79,415t was imported in 2011, an increase of 131 per cent volume compared to 2010.

Clinker production grew 13 per cent over the previous year. Clinker imports, according to INE data, increased from 140,787t in 2010 to 214,219t in 2011.
