Birla Corporation Ltd. has commenced trial production of clinker from its 1.2Mt brownfield capacity expansion project at Chanderia in Rajasthan. The Indian Bureau of Mines has conducted an inspection and undertaken various tests regarding mining activities at Chanderia and a report has since been submitted to the Court.
