Angola will see a new cement plant enter service in May. The Cimentfort works in Catumbela is expected to produce around 0.7Mt by year-end, according to a report by press agency Angop.

Located near a railway line, the production facility is also ideally placed to supply cement to the southern provinces via the Benguela Railway. The provinces of Huambo, Bie and Kuando Kubango will be among the first to benefit from the new plant’s output.
