Mongla Cement plans third grinding mill, Bangladesh

Mongla Cement is inviting Expressions of Interest (EOI) to establish a third cement grinding mill. The new mill will have a capacity of 120tph and will be set up at Mongla's cement factory in southern Bangladesh.

Mongla Cement is owned by Sena Kalyan Sangstha (a self-financing welfare organisation dedicated to the welfare of ex-armed forces). The group is currently inviting local and foreign firms to provide complete consultancy services for the planning, design, procurement, selecting, set up supervision and commissioning of the cement grinding mill on a turnkey basis utilising state-of-the-art technology to submit EOI for erection/ installation on this third grinding mill project. Bids are due on 25 July 2012.

Mongla Cement Factory is one of the biggest industrial units of Sena Kalyan Sangstha, which was set up on the bank of the river Pashure near Mongla Port. The cement facility has both river and highway connections with other districts of the country. The factory started production at the end of 1994. The two mills in this factory have a total production capacity of 600,000tpa.
