Personnel change in the Supervisory Board of HeidelbergCement

Prof. Dr. Marion Weissenberger-Eibl has been appointed as a member of HeidelbergCement's Supervisory Board in the capacity of shareholder representative. She succeeds Dr.-Ing. Herbert Lutkestratkotter, who had resigned from his position for personal reasons. Her term of appointment will expire on the occasion of the by-election held at the next Annual General Meeting of HeidelbergCement AG on 8 May 2013.

“We are pleased that, in Prof. Dr. Marion Weissenberger-Eibl, we have succeeded in attracting a well-respected German top engineer as a new member of our Supervisory Board”, stated Fritz-Jurgen Heckmann, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of HeidelbergCement AG.

“Prof. Dr. Weissenberger-Eibl is very well-connected in the fields of business, science, and politics. Her extensive experience and expertise in the areas of innovation research, renewable energies, demographic development, sustainability, and knowledge management will be a valuable addition to the Supervisory Board of HeidelbergCement AG.

By appointing Prof. Dr. Weissenberger-Eibl, HeidelbergCement is also strengthening its links to science and research in view of future technological and social challenges.”
