Brazil February cement sales edge ahead

Cement sales in the Brazilian cement market in February 2013 reached 5.1Mt, up 2.2 per cent on the same month of last year, according to data released by Sindicato Nacional da Indústria do Cimento.

For the first two months of 2013, sales were 10.6Mt an increase of 1.8 per cent YoY.

In 2012, domestic sales reached 68.3Mta, an increase of 6.9 per cent over 2011 (63.9Mt).
