Tunisia’s April cement sales are up 3.35 per cent YoY, although the sales of Ciments de Bizerte and Oum Kelil fell during march due to technical and social issues, according to the country’s Ministry of Industry.
The country’s cement factories are currently producing around 25,000tpd and are fully able to meet national demand, which historically peaks at the same level between March and June, ensured the ministry.
In April, the minister of national trade provisionally froze cement exports of cement to secure its domestic supply.
