Holcim Romania appoints new director general
29 January 2014

Francois Petry has been appointed director general of Holcim Romania, effective 1 February 2014, replacing Daniel Bach.

Bach has recently been appointed Area Manager for southeast Asia and will be responsible for Holcim subsidiaries in Indonesia, Thailand, Philippines, Vietnam, Malaysia and Singapore, Holcim Romania said in a statement.

“Romania is one of the most important markets of Holcim Group in Europe, with significant growth potential [...] It’s not going to be an easy job, as the economy is still recovering from the global crisis, but I know that we have here all that is needed to continue on the same successful path: talented and devoted people as well as modern and efficient production facilities," Petry said.

Holcim Roman operates two integrated cement plants and a grinding centre with a combined cement capacity of 6.1Mta.
