Lafarge Republic’s Inc's (LRI) new cement mill at its Norzagaray cement works is expected to be operational by June 2015.
The new mill will have a capacity of 850,000tpa and will come online just six months after a similar new mill is commissioned at the company’s Teresa works.
"In spite of the recent calamities that struck the central and southern portions of the country, the Philippine economy has demonstrated resiliency and LRI will be there to rebuild damaged homes and build new homes throughout the country," LRI President, Renato Sunico told local press.
Last year, Lafarge reopened its Danao plant in Cebu, as well as implemented key debottlenecking projects in its Iligan and Norzagaray plants, providing the company with additional capacity.
