Vietnam Cement Industry Corp (Vicem), the country’s leading cement producer, sold 1.48Mt of cement and clinker in February, up 2.78 per cent from the previous month and 42 per cent from a year ago.

Of the total, 1.12Mt of cement and clinker were sold domestically, a rise of 15.1 per cent YoY, while 359,000t of were exported – marking an increase of 513 per cent YoY,

In the first two months of the calendar year, total sales rose three per cent YoY to 2.84Mt, of which 2.14Mt was sold to the domestic market and 0.77Mt was exported.
