Iran first-quarter exports exceed 5Mt

Iran exported over 5.07Mt of cement and clinker during the first quarter of the Iranian year, according to local news reports.

In the third Iranian calendar month of Khordad (22 May - 21 June 2014), cement and clinker exports totaled over 1.203Mt and 398,798t, respectively, the Mehr News Agency reported on Sunday. 

In the previous Iranian calendar year, which ended on 20 March 2014, exports amounted to 18Mt of cement. Volumes have previously been delivered to some 24 countries including Iraq, Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan, Afghanistan, Russia, Kazakhstan, Kuwait, Pakistan, Qatar, Turkey, UAE, Georgia, Oman, India and China.
