State-owned Insumos Bolivia expects to import 600,000 bags of cement in 2015. Its director Oscar Sandy said the company would import, as in 2014, IP30 and IP40 cement from Peru’s Yura.
"The projection for 2015, as so determined by the national government, is to continue the import of cement to overcome the shortfall in domestic production of this basic input for building, reaching 600,000 bags and so to reassure the entrepreneurs in this sector and families who carry out the construction of their homes, " he said.
