Moroccan cement sales fell 6.3 per cent MoM and 8.5 per cent YoY in May 2015 to 1,266,114t, according to Ministry of Housing. The latest figure effectively neutralises any growth noted in the first four months of the year. For the year to date cement sales reached 6,172,299t, down slightly by 0.3 per cent when compared with 5M14.

Cement sales decreased considerably in Chaouia-Ourdigha (-29 per cent), Guelmim-Es-Smara (-27 per cent) and Laâyoun-Boujdour-S-Elhamra (-26 per cent).
