Dangote Cement yesterday signed contracts worth about about US$4.34bn with Chinese firm Sinoma International to build factories across Africa and one in Asia.
Cement facilities will be built in Nigeria, Ethiopia, Kenya, Zambia, Senegal, Niger, Mali, Cameroon, Ivory Coast, Ghana as well as in Nepal.
The latest developments will boost capacity to more than 70Mta and Dangote is targeting further gains to about 100Mta of potential output by 2020, Aliko Dangote said in a speech in Lagos.
