Shipments of Portland and blended cement in the US and Puerto Rico totalled 50.038Mt in the first seven months of the year, preliminary data from the US Geological Survey (USGS) shows. Imports accounted for 5Mt of the total.

In July 2015, shipments reached 9.257Mt, with imports representing 935,779t of dispatches.

Clinker production, meanwhile, is reported to be 42.282Mt for the seven month period, with output at 6.965Mt in July alone.
