Namibia: Ohorongo Cement wins three NSI quality awards

Ohorongo Cement recevied a hat-trick of awards at the Namibian Standards Institution (NSI) Quality Awards on 15 October 2015.

The Namibian cement producer was recognised for its quality efforts under the following categories:     

• Runner up 'Product of the Year'
• Runner up 'Quality Company of the Year'
• Runner up 'Quality Service of the Year'.

Martin Hattingh, sales manager of Ohorongo, received the awards from Namibia's Deputy Minister of Industrialisation, Trade & SME Development, Hon. Pieter van der Walt and Mrs Chie Wasserfall, CEO of NSI.

The NSI held its third National Quality Awards last week to recognise industries and enterprises, including the service sector and individuals who perform excellently with regards to quality.  The awards also honour those who contribute to quality advancement in all sectors of the Namibian economy by having measurements and quality systems, procedures and processes that are in line with local, regional and international practices in place.
