Ecuador: Chimborazo cement plant expansion

The consortium led by Sacyr Industrial of Spain will carry out the design, construction, assembly and commissioning of a new clinker line with the capacity for 2600tpd for Cementera Chimborazo, part of Unión Cementera Nacional (UCEM) group, in Riobamba, Ecuador.

The clinker manufacturing process will have a series of processing units: primary crushing, a pre-homogenisation yard, a vertical raw mill, a raw meal silo, a five-stage preheater tower, a rotary kiln, a grate cooler and a clinker silo. The project order is for EUR150m.
