Following the acquisition of Socimat in Côte d’Ivoire last July, LafargeHolcim Maroc Afrique (LHMA) continues its regional expansion.
LHMA, a joint venture between Morocco’s Société Nationale d’Investissement (SNI) and LafargeHolcim, will buy back 50 per cent of the capital of SCB Lafarge in Benin and 54.7 per cent of Cimencam in Cameroon, according to Afrique Expansion. The transaction values have not been disclosed.
SCB Lafarge has a production capacity estimated at 0.6Mta while Cimencam operates 1.7Mta of production capacity in Cameroon.
