Cement imports into Algeria have seen their value decrease by 25.3 per cent from US$328.95m to US$245.62m in the first eight months of 2016, according to the Algerian Customs Department.
In terms of volumes, imports saw a 15.5 per cent decrease from 4.5Mt to 3.8Mt. The average price of cement imports into Algeria has fallen by around 24 per cent in the first seven months of 2016 when compared with Jan-Jul 2015.
