Khrew Cement is on target to reach 0.9Mta capacity

Production capacity at JK Cement's Khrew cement plant in India is expected to soon surpass 0.9Mta, the company informed Minister for Industries and Commerce, Chander Parkash Ganga, who recently visited the Khrew factory to view the laboratory, analytical lab and kiln.

The minister also highlighted the importance of strictly conforming to the pollution measures introduced by the government and carry out a pollution control programme to minimise the degradation of the environment. The area has been the subject of local protests in recent times.

He also encouraged officials to achieve a turnover of INR1500m in the current year as this would bring a much-need stimulus and independence to the factory.
