Brazil’s Jan-May sales down 8.9%

January-May sales of cement in the Brazil totalled 21.6Mt, according to preliminary industry data, indicating a YoY decline of 8.9 per cent.

In the last 12 months accumulated sales totalled 55.3Mt, 10.1 per cent lower than the comparative period of the previous year, SNIC reported.

In May alone, 4.543Mt of cement were sold, down 5.5 per cent YoY.
