Siam City Cement Vietnam Co Ltd will invest an additional US$30-50 in its Vietnamese cement plants in Kien Giang, Ba Ria-Vung Tau and Dong Nai provinces, and Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC) in the next 6-12 months, the Saigon Daily Times reports.

At a meeting between the company and HCMC authorities on Monday, Philippe Richart, general director of the company, said the Vietnamese economy would continue expanding in the future.

In September 2016 LafargeHolcim announced that it is to divest of its Vietnamese operations to Siam City Cement. The deal involved an integrated plant and four grinding facilities with a combined capacity of 6.3Mta.
