New Cambodian plant due for year-end completion

Chip Mong Insee Cement Cooperation is nearing completion of its new cement plant in Kampot province, Cambodia, according to local press reports.

The US$262m factory with the capacity to produce 5,000tpd of cement is due to open by the end of the year, the Khymer Times reported.

Chip Mong Group and Chip Mong Insee Cement signed a partnership agreement with China’s CITIC Heavy Industries Company to build the plant, construction of which began last year.

Chip Mong Insee Cement Cooperation is a joint venture with Thai investors Siam City Cement Plc.
