The French cement market grew by 3-4 per cent in 2017, according to estimates by the French cement association SFIC.

"2017 was the year of the recovery, with renewed dynamism in the construction sector," said SFIC President, Bénédicte de Bonnechose, at the Cement Industry Meetings. "We expect to grow our markets for 2017 by around 3-4%," she added.

In 2016 cement demand in France reached 17.5Mt.
